Tom promptly returned my call for his services. He was upfront that he was booked up & couldn't take the job. He gave me a referral whom I will be calling. I'll definitely call him again when I have a project that can be scheduled for a future date.

I highly recommend Tom. He recently brought our home wiring up to current standards, with an eye on safety, utility, and practicality. He explained options clearly and had a grasp of important issues (such as quality of light) that the average electrician might not address. Appreciated not being urged to make upgrades that were costly and/or unnecessary. We will be giving him more work soon!

I just had Tom install new electrical service at my house (new box, breakers, etc). In addition to being very knowledgeable, Tom was helpful in finding out what my electrical needs were and designing a cost-effective solution to modernize my electrical supply. He's also very professional and courteous. I highly recommend using him for any job, small or big.

Tom has done electric work for me at several locations. Very knowledgeable, trustworthy, clean and tidy, a non-smoker, a creative thinker, an old soul, a fabulous family man. His work is top notch and his pricing is fair. I sell real estate in the greater Syracuse area and I always recommend him to my buyers and sellers and my personal friends. Where to begin? Tom is simply incredible. We had a few complex projects and are so impressed by Tom's approach, knowledge and skill. He came to the house several times before install to plan and gather details such as where we would like outlets, how to hide cords, review switch options, etc. Most electricians would never take the time to do this, especially free of charge, and especially with a fun attitude and good jokes along the way. He has a lovely wife and young son and it is nice to know that a trustworthy, nice, down to earth family man is in our home doing the work. He is top notch and in such high demand with other customers that we are just grateful that he could do the work for us.

Tom is great to work with, especially for lighting design! He's worked on a number of projects for us over the last several years, mostly to improve the lighting. He listened to our wishes, and was very thoughtful and creative in meeting our vision for lighting that fit the unique 'character' and architecture of our nearly 100yo house. He provided lots of ideas and even a brought a panel of example fixtures to help guide our decision, right down to the color-temperature. He was also very transparent when he thought simply different bulbs were the easier answer rather than installing a new fixture. He also did a great job matching the texture of our ceilings and lath & plaster walls to conceal his work. In sum couldn't recommend him highly enough!!!

Tom is by far the best! He brings such a level of thoughtfulness and detail to his work. We have had the opportunity to work with Tom on several of our projects and each time I learn more about lighting and he provides ideas and suggestions that I would not have thought about. We live in a 100 year old house and Tom is always so mindful of safety and goes above and beyond to make sure every project is done correctly. He has helped to make the lighting in our home flow and it is so much more cohesive. My most favorite project he has completed is giving us more lighting in our kitchen. Our kitchen has gone from a dark room that during the winter I struggled being in to a bright, light room that I love to cook and have meals with my family in. We can not say enough wonderful things about Tom's work!

Superior by any measure - Never in a hurry - First visit was to size up the job, get acquainted with us and our pets and to communicate my responsibilities as customer - I was happy to have him recommend the appliances for me to purchase separately. On the day of, Tom was punctual down to the minute (early is not always a good thing for a bathroom project). He meticulously laid out his tools and drop cloths and planned his moves so as to minimize the trips out/in which, on a cold day, we appreciated. His "measure twice/cut once" approach definitely put us at ease as he enlarged the holes in the ceiling and he graciously kept us up to speed as he dealt with the inevitable snags and curveballs. I was prepared to help out with cleanup, but he has a powerful battery operated vacuum and it was as if he was never there! Through 43 years of home ownership I've seen the gamut in quality of service and we could not be more please with electrician Tom Taylor.
